Through her work with Black Girls CODE, Kimberly has been recognized as a thought leader in her work to increase opportunities for women and girls in the tech industry and has received many awards including being named one of Business Insider's "25 Most Influential African-Americans in Technology," FastCompany's Most Creative People and was named one of the White House's Champions of Change. Prior to starting Black Girls CODE, Kimberly had many successful roles as an Engineering Manager at Fortune 50 companies in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries including Genentech, Merck, and Pfizer.
