Both parties can see the issue, enabling the specialist to guide the field technician remotely and provide instructions and course correct the hands of the technician following along. The visual interface provides a direct line of sight to the problem in question, helping to ensure maximum compliance.
Automotive company Porsche uses augmented reality in this fashion, with RDG-7 smart glasses, in a program called Tech Live Look.
