On June 9, Gary Mintchell, a respected communicator and adviser on business and tech specific to Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of Things, Smart Manufacturing, and IT/OT Convergence attended the LiveWorx 2020 online event and wrote a recap describing his experience.
In the post, LiveWorx My First Virtual Conference of the Pandemic Mitchell talks about the quality of assembled speakers saying "The internal speakers were professional quality presenters. Even the weakest presenter of the day was superior to many I see live." You can watch all presentations from LiveWorx 2020 in the Content Archive.
He provides a synopsis of PTC President & CEO, Jim Heppelmann's keynote and the focus on SaaS, flexible supply chain and production, remote monitoring, AR, IoT and AI. Mintchell also enjoyed presentations from "Rana el Kaliouby, CEO of Afectiva and author of Girl Decoded (excellent story told on Tim Ferriss blog) who discussed emotional intelligence for technology; Kimberly Bryant told the story of Black Girls CODE–powerful; Nir Eyal discussed ideas on product development from his book Hooked (but I preferred his book Indistractable); and Stacey Higgenbotham, who is the IoT journalist."
He ends his post saying "I think we are seeing PTC [LiveWorx]... breaking out in a new way that is exciting." All of Mintchell's thoughts from the day can be found on his Twitter thread: @garymintchell.
