Julian Metzler is “Head of IT Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM)” at BMW Group, sharing the function in a Joint Leadership with a colleague. He has 16+ years of experience in the fields of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAD, Interfaces, Software Design and Supplier Collaboration. In the context of iPDM Julian is responsible for the introduction of Windchill to provide a functional platform for the new Production and Sourcing BOM (M-BOM @ BMW) to replace old Host-/Mainframe applications.
